Designed the branding and updated the code for a motion-activated rotating backpack app and dual touchscreen ordering system, applying my brand guidelines to create a cohesive, engaging, and interactive retail experience based on my professor’s framework.

Building off my professor’s existing framework, I first familiarized myself with the kiosk’s core functionality, including the motion-activated rotating backpack feature and dual touchscreen ordering system. Understanding the interactive flow and technical possibilities allowed me to identify where design and branding could enhance the user experience while staying true to the project’s functional requirements.
I then applied my brand’s visual identity to the kiosk experience, updating typography, color palettes, and iconography to create a cohesive and engaging interface. This step ensured that both the rotating backpack app and the ordering touchscreen reflected a consistent brand presence while remaining visually appealing and easy to navigate.
Using the existing codebase as a foundation, I adapted and refined the interfaces to align with my brand guidelines. This included updating layouts, interactive elements, and animation cues to enhance usability and ensure that all touchpoints were visually coherent, intuitive, and aligned with the brand’s personality.
Finally, I reviewed the kiosk experience, testing motion activation, touch interactions, and visual consistency across both apps. Iterating on design details, animations, and transitions helped ensure a polished, engaging, and functional retail installation that effectively showcased the brand and offered a seamless, interactive user experience.
